Updated the master list today. Top 3 has stayed the same but there's been lots of juggling around down the field. We've got around 135 entries on the full list now! Lots of different opinions floating around.

I haven't tried Rome Total War, but I sure wasted many an hour on Mediaval Total War, which was just outside my top 10 list. Good to see that one doing quite well.

Did you ever try the expansion, the Iron Plague (?) which introduced the 5th force Creon? I never managed to complete that expansion because one of the maps just ended up being completely stalemate (think it was Veruna vs Creon with you playing as Veruna)!
I missed out on the expansion Zink. Though most RTS's do not hold any kind of lasting value for me after awhile, TA: Kingdoms really matched my love of endless defense-building while my enemies fail against it. You could throw a hundred guys against an enemy defense and not get very far. I wish the AI would group up and attack (I replayed it last year), but it was a fine game that didn't get much attention. Now I'm a Dawn of War fan, which plays oppositely - it's all about vicious, quick assaults. The defense structures crumble in seconds, which makes me very nervous lol I feels like my body temperature rises about 5 degrees playing that game.

And Vaskez - yeah let's get some TFTD love. Most XCOM fans are all about Enemy Unknown, but we know. lol. I decided for Jagged Alliance 2 instead, but XCOM 2 was great. So scary.
Yeah the defensive structures on Kingdoms were insane. A few of those Stronghold towers with built in cannons was all you needed. Line them up and watch them blast away It really didn't help the opposition that the towers grew in power the more kills they got too, so you ended up with a whole line of them with gold plated cannons making mincemeat of even the most frantic attack. Then you had your secondary defense of archers/kights/foot soldiers etc. Talking about TA: Kingdoms is making me want to re-install it and play it through again .

R:TW is great, so much more advanced than the other two, and very very fun. Great for 2 friends to play a campaign together aswell. The reason I had Shogun on my list was because it was the first, and for its time was quite spectacular.

Zink... you sure this correct? As of this moment (right after your update) Warcraft 2 should have 20 points too

EDIT: and you have Icewind Dale twice. Think one of them should be part 2. And am very glad both made it

Warcraft 2 has exactly 20 points, so I'll add it to the bottom of the list.

EDIT: Thanks for pointing out the IWD2 typo - amended.

Pac-Man, in one of it's many incarnations, being the first computer game I ever played, back when my dad got his first pc when I was about seven or so. It sparked a hobby which has stuck with me ever since, even though I haven't played that particular game for well over a decade.
