I chose this name because it was the name of my diablo2 account at the time, and plus it is a really cool name.

Well my orginal name was Grand-Ranger, then that account got messed up so I made a new one. I got it from a MSN chat with Lady Zeeke and someothers because of my love for Iron Maiden .

I'm pretty sure I've posted this before, but I've sort of been called ornery for about ten years. My senior year in high school, I was dating a red-neck and when I refused to let him call me his angel, he started saying I was just being ornery. It sounds better than contrary (what my mom calls me) and I never have warmed up to being called Ralph (what my dad calls me {don't ask}).

Question Mark

Modesty forbids me revealing the secret of the origin of my name. However, anyone who has done a fair amount of reading about the mysterious and/or the supernatural can easily discover where I got my name.
In any case, I have been using this name since 1986....

Someone here asked me about my handle about a year ago; here it is:

A while back there was a [underrated IMO] first-person shooter called Blood (from Monolith) - a very scary game (and funny too; also quite difficult).

Among the enemies are these whacked-out Cultists, wearing hooded robes and brandishing high-powered rifles. Once you peep around a corner and they see you, they let loose with all these somewhat satanic-sounding battle cries which scared me constantly. Reminded me of that demon-doll in Trilogy of Terror. Then they fill you full of holes and the screen becomes red as you reach for the quick-load key. Turns out the "language" is the game developers' own mix of ancient tongues, I believe Latin + Sanskrit influenced...

One of my favorite exclamations by these freaks was "MARANAX INFIRMUX!!!" (?"death to the non-believer"?? or something to that effect). But at the time I didn't know the Cultist language, so I phonetically made the first bit to be "mahlennacht", using German influence (which I don't speak, by the way).

I looked in a dictionary and mahlen apparently means "grind" and nacht is of course "night". "Grind-Night"?!? Well, I'm a night person, I like grindcore metal among other styles (a nice contrast to my ABBA recordings ), it grew on me, and besides 11 is my favorite number and it has 11 letters, so I went with that name ever since for my game-character name. Hee.

My first ever name for online play on Microsoft's "The Zone" (www.zone.msn.com) was MasterofDeath1. I used this name to play the first Age of Empires and the Expansion, Rise of Rome. Then I decided to make a clan, mind you this was about 4 years ago when i was 12 I finally chose the Prefix: KAR or Kick A** Rookies, and for the rest of my name i used MOD1. so KAR_MOD1 was my name.. so my name is an anagram, KickA**Rookies_MasterofDeath1.
