Wow, I can't wait to download this.

I had a question someone might be able to field. What is the Deep 6 engine used in? I'm not sure I'm familiar with it.

Edit...did my homework and saw that it's the W&W engine. In any case...i'm on a 56k so I'll enjoying it around Tuesday...I'll have plenty of time to think about all of this

In the process of downloading the game right now! Is the exact release date of this game set? Anyone also got an idea how much it'll cost?

Amazon has the game for preorder for $39.99

No idea when it will really be released - last date I saw was April 20th and then I heard some say earlier than that. I think it will be later but hopefully not too much later.

I guess I should ask this here (may be a game spoiler for some):

I'm in the sewers and have just gotten past the part where the goblins shoot at you from above. I killed them, went up the ladder, went to my left, and jumped in the water. I swam around the whole place and killed everything, but now I'm stuck. How do I climb onto a ledge from the water? I can't seem to just jump out of the water, so I've been stuck in there for quite some time.

you need to climb the ladder with shift and then walk over the waterwheel then jump on the other side. either make it to the ledge or climb up from the water there and theres a doorway and the maze continues.

It sounds like you're in the water on the other side of the water wheels. What you need to do is to get to the edge and then climb out of the water. It's possible to do, albeit a bit tricky. Try looking up, moving forward, and jumping at the same time. Keep holding down the forward key, and with luck, you'll soon be on dry land again.

It gets frustrating for me on occasion because when I'm in deeper water (like where you are

), it seems that after I jump, I fall way down below the water and can't climb out. But eventually, you can.

Gotta say, I like the same, although I'm a bit disappointed with the form of combat that is used. Just swinging is kind of...well, boring. Would be cooler if there were different tricks you could do with your sword (besides left then click, down the click, up then click, jump then click).

Yep, look slightly upwards, forward and jump in combination will get you out of that pool of water.

Took me a few times to have it finally work but I was very glad when it did!

There are different moves that you can do with your sword... if you're moving backward, for example, you get a high swing (useful for bats). If you're moving sideways, you get a sideways sweeping stroke.

With forward, sideways, and standing still attacks, there is a sequence that allows you to execute a "power move", and a different power move for each one (as I understand it). It's not quite as intricate as the old Pirates game was, where you could attack high, medium, or low, but it's more than nothing [img]smile.gif[/img]

You can also do sneaky things, like shooting arrows while doing backflips or shooting and then double-tapping the left- or right-arrow keys. That initiates a sideways dive... handy for the sewer bridge area [img]smile.gif[/img]

I'll have to see what it looks like when the game actually comes out. Hopefully, they're taking the time to do it right, as opposed to... (everybody sing together) "rushing it out the door".

how does this game fare on older computers? would it work on one with 1.2 mhz celeron processor, 512 mb ram, and geforce4 mx 4000 with 128 ram? i think i got that all right. i havent always played games, but i really like these kinds [img]smile.gif[/img] . i think i have more than the system requirments, but they are very misleading(a couple of experiences ive had with games and their system requirements lately). i also have a slow modem, so it would take a while for it to download the trial... and i dont want to wait and be disapointed again
