"Never had any loved ones?" asked Neb as they walked outside, "I wish I had never had any, would have spared me so much pain," Neb looked down to hide the tears that were caused by his memories, after quickly clearing them away he looked up again, a forced cheerful look on his face, "Let us not dwell on the past, let us live in the present and look forward to the future."

At long last, the mercenary couple finally found the edge of the village. Careful now, they probably still hold a grudge against us... Sephi quietly crept along the edge of the village, followed by Jaclyn, until he found the house of the Priest of Corellon Larethian. They made a mad dash for it, but were stopped by three guards. They could have easily fought their way out of it, but decided not to, as they now remembered exactly what it was that they were banned for, and didn't want to get in any deeper.

Neb thought for a bit and then said, "I don't know, I haven't really planned anything, what are you going to do? Maybe I can tag along? Haven't really got anything better to do."

The couple was thrown before the gathered townspeople. Sephi looked at them helplessly while they all drew weapons and threatened him with their shouts. Finally someone that Sephi recognized stepped out from the crowd.
So, you have returned. I didn't think you'd ever be back, seeing as how you brought so much destruction upon us last time. We all thought you would be dead by now, and most of us wish you were. Sephi recognized the elf speaking to him in a melodic voice as one of his childhood friends. He's brought more of those Drow with him, no doubt about it! He's going to finish us off this time! Kill him before he has a chance!
Sephi was astouned by the blood-thirstyness of the mob. Please, hear me out before you pass judgement on me! Sephi knew his pleas were likely futile, but he had to try anyways.

Kaz shrugs. "I do not know either. I was wondering if I should continue wandering again. It would be nice to have a home... and friends."

"A home? I haven't known a home in all the time I've been hunted, I've never stayed anywhere for more than a few days, settling down and knowing a home again would definitely be welcome after all these years, but where could I settle down? Where would you settle down?"

Neb looked up at the sky and saw that night would not be far away, "Night is approaching," he said, "We should find somewhere to rest," Neb clutched his head as if in pain, "The One-Eyed Wolf? A tavern? In the Gate District? I seem to remember something about it, can't exactly say what it is though, shall we go there?"
