I never got why people think Drizzt acts so much like a Paladin.

1. Drizzt is greedy. In the Icewind Dale Trilogy, as he was thinking to himself, one of the main reasons he enjoys adventuring is because of treasure. This was as he was pocketing some jewels he found.

2. He's never had a chance to break a law he found unjust! Whereas a paladin follows laws.

3. He's, by nature, a bit vengeful. Paladins are more about justice, which means putting aside personal views and thinking of injustices that befall other people.

4. He has lied in books. He represented himself as one of the evil drow in the last books to find out why the orcs were so organized. Paladins wouldn't lie. Hell, they'd attack!

not necessarily. A paladin isn't "good" to the point of stupidity. They can lie, especially if it were to an evil horde of orcs.

Can you site any examples? All I've been told about Paladins (And from this forum) is that they wouldn't lie or work with evil (Which was what Drizzt sort of did to get info).
