Yeah, I found that out..the hard way. I was in the room to get the brine potions as when I was down to 1 Mind Flayer Phaere shows up...not sure what to do now as I was in a hurry to get that room done before I got off the computer. Any suggestions? Does killing Phaere mean I can not complete the quest for the dragon's eggs? Fortunately, I saved PRIOR to entering the Mind Flayer dungeon so I guess I will skip that for now. The main reason I wanted to go there was the experience and then I found the hilt for a sword (got the blade in the Beholder's dungeon...just hope I left the jewel in the Pomenade...if not I mistakenly sold it!).

Go back to your hard save and get back to the Drow plot. After all, if you're only doing the Mind Flayers for items & EXP, you can always go there after the Drow quests give you a new time limit.
