I should also say... unless you find a shield (and there are some) that gives you good bonuses to AC and/or special abilities (ie reflect beholder rays)... most shields just protect against missiles. And I dunno bout you... but missiles are the least of my worries.

To clarify! the Ranger is not Minsc, although i do have him in my party - as for my Ranger managing with 9 INT and 6 WIS - he does fine!

He now has 21 strength due to the Frost Giant Belt - i suppose for his purpose i should have really made him a fighter, but i sorta like Rangers so that swayed my decision.

The reason i have really low INT and WIS is that i used the points from these to bolster my STR, CON and DEX - also i did'nt really matter if i had a crappy CHAR because of the ring of human influence.

As a result i sorta have an all round character - he's pretty good with a bow or sling (although i prefer hurling Azuredge at people), he's strong enough to rip your arm off and beat you with the wet end - also he's got a few spells that make life easier! such as bark skin - summon insects - cure medium wounds!

Maybe not the best character ever invented, but with the Boots of Speed and the ring of regen and the drinker sword means that i heal as biff people!

The reason they pointed out your Ranger's low WIS is because Rangers have a class minimum of 13 WIS. The only way to get such a low WIS is to use a Game Editor like Shadowkeeper.

Really? because i haven't actually used any sort of gaming editor to improve (or in this case decrease) my rangers WIS...hmmm...strange...unless i was mistaken about the lvl of WIS my ranger has.

I'll check up on it, but i'm pretty sure i'm right - and to plead my case i haven't used anything like Shadowkeeper...the only thing i have uploaded is the Bonus Merchants.
