True enough Secretmaster (and SD, but I haven't heard anything about uber-competitive grain).

I'd heard that, but it's really kinda academic at this point IMO. We've never been great at sharing. There will probably be parallels with water access in the coming century.

I'm not going into it, because it's hard to find widely available data that comes from a reliable source, but the wastefulness of livestock also refers to ecological costs.
