I personally do not like shooters on consoles and won't buy one because I'm the type that loves the mouse and keyboard to play them--old school doom, quake and all the others. I'm deadly with a sniper rifle, but on console controlers, I suck. I'll stick to PC Shooters, or until consoles make a mouse and KB that work with games--and not those cheater kb's for codes. Those won't work.

Yeah thats probably why I havn't got Halo for the XBOX. I prefer the Mouse & WASD control that only a keyboard can offer you.

I do like and prefer driving games on consoles (I have NFS:U, Gotham Racing and Grand Tourismo 3(for the PS2))

Oh yeah, now racing games I love on console! I love all the Need For Speed titles--I really loved NFS:HP1 and 2! Awesome fun. And I look forward to Grand Tourismo 4! That is going to me a meeeeaaaan ass game! [img]smile.gif[/img]

Yeah, I beat NFS:U1, but haven't played 2. I hear it's more of the same. Is that true?

Yes and no really.

You get to choose the races you do, you can have more cars, more mods etc.

I like it, but then I got bored when Halo 2 came out, as it was a race to see who could complete it first on Legendry [img]tongue.gif[/img]

I prefer driving games and football (soccer) games on the PS2, but I'm thinking of getting Fifa 2005 for Xbox as it is really good online. Plus I'm buying Project Gotham Racing 1 and 2, and Full Spectrum Warrior off my mate for £35

Na.. I'm not that impressed with halo 2. just didn't get into it. plus, XBOX can only handle 256x256 textures, and that is much lower detail than a PC can perform.

Now Halo 1 on the PC was much better looking, and multiplayer was cool, but I just don't see the big deal about halo 2. Unreal Tourn. 2004 is my favorite shooter right now. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I prefer a controller than a mouse and keyboard in shooters. Easier to aim with a mouse yes (in FPS at least) but to me I don't get as immersed in a game unless I have a nice small controller in my hands. And in IMO I think Halo is more fun on Xbox than on PC. Especially on multiplayer. Going against or with your friends in the same room is a great feeling. And the multiplayer on PC is unbalanced because people use those damn banshee's all the time. And some of the new weapons that they added IMO And graphics are not everything Z.

I agree with you, Sythe; and its difficult (ALMOST impossible) to find something more satisfying than talking trash to someone as you run them thru with a plasma sword, stick a grenade to them, pump 'em full of shotgun shells; or just blow them up (and up and up) with the rocket launcher. (The things that ARE more saitisfying I won't talk about here)

Halo 2 expands the possiblilities with getting online and killing complete stangers (yeah!!! beat THAT!!!) for fun.
