I didn't think it was funny either. just because someone is a Pacifist doesn't mean they are to be made fun of.

Sorry Ziroc, I know you must be run off your feet & all, & I don't mean to sound like a whiney old cow, although I know I do, but for me that one particular thread just did me in. It's the most offensive thing I've seen in a long time, and to me that makes that poster the most abrasive. So, I don't think that any human being is ever beyond or above making subjective decisions influenced by their own point of view.

Anyway, I'll shut up now, cheers for letting me rant.

I'm definately pro-war in America's current situation, but I have been called on the carpet for inappropriate symbolism in a post, even though it was directed at no one, nor in response to anyone's opinion.

After Memnock made the point, I understood and agreed not to do it again. I did not argue the point, and did not send accusatory emails to the person who has provided me with the great gift of IW.

Disagreement isn't the point of this explusion or the general tension present in IW, it's intensity and intent.

If you try to make someone angry, don't be suprised when they become angry. If you purposely make your spouse angry, don't be surprised at a loss of affection. If you purposely make a friend angry, don't be surprised if the friendship is "cooled". If you purposely make Ziroc angry, don't be surprised when your password doesn't work anymore.

Dear Flotsy and SC - you seem to not be able to grasp one of the fundamental ideas behind the forum - that we all are participants in this global community, we have all gotten along forever(with a few notable exceptions), and that the majority of us believe in the war on terrorism.

Perhaps you do grasp it - I remember you making mention that this IS Ziroc's forum, and then in the next breath, complain when he chooses to do something that YOU do not agree with. Don't know what mail you are referring to, SC, but if you have a copy of it, then it must be okay with Dan - post it! I'm not inclined to say many things privately that I would not say to your face!

Your views on war and peace are yours - you are free to express them ONLY because people who think like me, JD, and others were willing to die to keep your country free 60 years ago - and had the WILL to follow the evil all the way to it's pathetic little bunker in Berlin. I find it fairly hypocritical, that you denigrate those same type of folk today.

It was glaringly obvious in the censorship thread the late, unlamented dio wrote that he WAS trolling and baiting - read his first post, then read the others,at the end when he was going after cloudy - in the same thread, fer cryin' out loud - is not the definition of a hypocrite saying one thing and doing another? I am always willing to be proved wrong, but as I posted in reply to Dan's first warning on the war forum, be nice, or you will find yourself hoisted by your own petard - a devilishly uncomfortable postion, I can tell you from experience.

Personally, I think Dan was bending over too far, and if this guy was sending him email of a derogatory nature, I'm suprised he lasted as long as he did.

If this makes you go off in a huff, well, sorry. No, really! I think it is important that differing views be aired - I still defend your right to say what you think, be anti-war, anti-patriotism, anti-religion, whatever - your positions on these matters shakes my faith in my friends here, my God, and my Country not at all. Nor do I feel threatened by them. All I ask is that when you are disagreed with, or presented with an unavoidable factoid that does not fit your theory, you do not degenerate into a personal attack - your response to my post to cloudy to just avoid the baiting is a good indication of the tenor of some of your posts back to folk who take issue with what you say.

gotta run now, will be back - I hope you don't do anything to make Dan ban you as well, before my lunch.
