At UESP it's suggested to do the Bal Molagmer quests before killing Sjoring Hard Heart as Stacey might disappear otherwise.
Apparently it's a known bug. C

Well, i cheated Stacey back into the game, and guess what ? He promoted me to mastermind. So i asked him for the job he had for me, and he told me, that he just wanted to retire.
All that trouble for nothing. I don't need the Bal Molagmergloves after all. What an anti climax.
