I can't believe i already forgot this. Here's the deal, I'm well on my way in the thieves guild. So far i've done every quest from Sugarlipps Habasi, Angoth the jeweler, and Big Hellende.

Now i'm doing stuff for Gentleman Jim, i just made sure two fightersguild members will join the guild's cause, and i was expecting my next job.

But now Jim tells me to come back when i'm a Mastermind. How can i become a friggin mastermind if he's the only one left to give me quests, and tells me to come back when i moved up ?

Did you ask for advancement or duties? Also did you do the Bal Molagmer quests? They are imperative to reach top rank in the guild.

Hm... the Bal Molagmerquests ? Is that related to those two gloves he gave me earlier in the game ? Anyway, i haven't done that yet, maybe i should go do it after all.

Btw... do you need those gloves for that particular quest ? Cause when i got introduced to that fruitcake Crassius Curio, i had to take all my clothes off, and when i was finally done, i missed one of those gloves. Never found it again.

??? Now why on earth did you have to strip for him? Anyways the idea of the Bal Molagmer quests is to make everyone think that particular type of Robin Hood-esque theives has returned to the area. You MUST whear the gloves and do everything in the name of the Bal Molagmer for those quests. If you need the other glove then just console it in. Use the for the glove you already possess to determine the id of the other glove.

I think he's gay or something. Anyway... that's your first encounter with your Hlaalu sponsor, ain't that something ? :D

So i need the other glove eh ? Well, okay... how exactly do i cheat the missing glove back into the game ?

press the ~ key to bring up the console
type: player->additem"whatever the gloves id is",1
1 being the quantity of the item you want.
You can probably, as previously stated, use the id of your other glove to determine the id of its counter part. To find that id, have the glove lying on the ground somewhere within view. Open the console using above mentioned method, and click on the glove. It's id will appear in top of the console. The other golves id should be similar.

Well, that console thing doesn't seem to work. Any other suggestions ?

Bumping this back up one more time, cause i'm really stuck in the thieves guild quests, since i lost the right Bal Molagmer glove somehow.

I thought i would become head of the guild by killing sjoring hard Heart, and that was part of the fighters guild quests anyway, so i went out and killed him. But Gentleman Jim stacey still wants me to do the Bal Molagmer quest.

The cheat to bring the glove back into the game didn't seem to work, but maybe i got the wrong code. Does anyone know exactly what to type to cheat this glove into the game ?

Try using the TES: Construction set. Make a copy of your save game, then open the copy with the Construction Set. Search for your charactor items and find the ID of the Left Glove. Then search the entire save game for the other one, it should have a similar ID, then add the Right glove to your inventory.

Thats wierd i got the rank of Master Theif without doing the Bal molagmer quest and although it turned out i had the same problem as you it turned out that i had missed the last job for Big Helende..
