I always have thought of it as a good movie. However, it is one of those movies that people never mention when talking about John Carpenter. And you do have to agree that the film quality bites and the cast is really not that great with the acting. I think it is solid as a horror movie, but overall it is not a good quality movie, which is why they give it 1 out of 4 stars. Personally, I would like to find out if it is out on DVD, so I can pick it up.

Kind of like Conan the Barbarian, which I have always liked as well. I love the scene where he prays to Crom (and the entire battle after that, too). Conan the Destroyer, however...

It is.

Well, you have to consider too, being how it was written, the acting is not going to be fantastic when your characters are based on college grads. But even the comic relief they tried to find in Walter still wasn't that good.

There is just one thing about the movie I still don't get to this day though.

In the movie (made for tv) version, it has the guy with the mastache acting like he's dreaming through the ordeal. Does that mean he just dreamed up the whole thing, or was dreaming of it after it happened?

It's that way in the movie version, too. I've always thought that he was dreaming it after it happened. If it was all a dream, and he just had that wicked nightmare, would he try to touch the mirror, or would he have just picked up the phone and called the girl to see if she was there or not?

Transformers-the movie

Over the top-A film about a trucker meeting up with his astranged military school honed son, winning against the odds and his EVIL father-in-law in both SPOILER... winning the World arm wrestling competition and winning his son's love. Starring Sylvester Stallone. Utter...utter...poop but it makes me laugh like crazy everytime I see it, it is supposed to be dramatic btw.

Army of Darkness is awesome, not something to be ashamed of. Same with the original Conan, although the Destroyer is painful to watch. In fact, I think a lot of mentioned movies are pretty good - Starship Troopers is an alltime favorite.

How about either the League of Extraordinary Gentleman? I know it sucks, but I enjoyed it.
