Now that I have read the first 6 of the Drizzt books I would like to change my previous favourite from Zak to Bruenor, the dwarf has just grown on me, the guy has some of the best dialog pieces(well the funniest at least), and is an all round great character.

I also liked the Spelljammer series they did quite a while back(I think the first was "Into the Void"). I thought it was better than the Cleric Quintet. Not sure if they can be easily found though.

Just my 2.
It's a worthy read - just don't expect to be reading about Drizz't et al...

You can also buy them in one Healthy Tome called the Cleric Quintet. Cost less, too...

AND to get back on topic - favorite char...hmmm....toss up between Danica (monk gf of Cadderly) and Cattiebrie. Just something about a strong female char...

Not long ago, my favorite char was undoubtedly Drizzt. However, as has been said, his character doesn't seem to have changed in a while now... hope Salvatore writes a bit more about Drizzt in following books (don't have Sea of Swords, have the rest). I agree, Jarlaxle is just neat! Currently I'd put them like this: 1) Jarlaxle 2) Drizzt 3) Zaknafein 4) Catti-brie 5) Artemis Entreri (#5 has gone a long, long way from being "the bad guy"). Don't like the rest that much.
But I must also agree: Compared to many other books, Salvatore's characters simply seem stereotypical and two-dimensional I hope the trend will reverse itself, otherwise I may not bother to buy any books after Sea of Swords. That would be a sad end to the series, considering the first books of the series (The Dark Elf trilogy is one of my favorite series )

I like Wulfgar better after his hell experience and hopes that he pulls out of it soon. Hmmm maybe he will even have an (evil)alignment change! Btw I hate it when drizzt makes a cameo appearances in other peoples series by Salvatore and makes some moralising sermon. God that is so disgusting!
