Any R.A Salvator Fans out there? Who is you favourite character that he has created?

Mine has to be Zaknafein, its just a pity he isn't in it longer.

I have just finished the dark elf trilogy and loved it. Next purchase the Icewind Dale Trilogy.

I agree, Zak was an interesting character.

I suppose that the only reason I like Drizzt is because of his challenges in his background, and how he came to be where he is today, as well as some impressive sword-fighting. His personality is lacking, IMO, as he alwaysseems so philisophical.
Anyway, I am not much of a dwarf lover, but Bruenar Battlehammer is a great character. He teaches me alot about dwarven thinking.

R.A Salvatore!!! the R.E. Howard of my generation!!!

Well drizzt is right up there!! But in Halfling's gem ( my favorite book of all time!!) :D there were so many memorable characters!!

Artemis Entreri is perhaps the only Human(yes no subraces or hybrids!!) that can fight the Noble drizzt at swords!!

Drizzt had his Two Scimitars and "Arty" had a regular joe sabre and dagger!!

Man he ranks right up there with Darth Vader!!! on the all time baddy list!!

Bongo & La Valle were excellent stooges as well!!!

Anyway time to finish my Demon Awakes novel.....Rangers are cool!!!

Cadderly, just because he is such an unorthodox priest (in a D&D world)

Davros 02-17-2002 07:11 AM

With a flourish and a bow he announces "JARLAXLE" :D .

YeRFDoG 02-17-2002 09:08 AM

Its unoriginal....... but i will go with Drizzt, followed by Jarlaxle :D

Daniel 02-17-2002 03:24 PM

I have a question, does Jarlaxle follow Drizzt to the surface in the later books? because he seemed to show such in interest in Drizzt(For the money obviously), but after house Do'Urdens destruction he just seemed to vanish, there was no more references to him at all!, and the way Salvatore spoke about him I was expecting a major enemy for Drizzt, but alas that moment never came.

Akar Kessel 02-17-2002 06:51 PM

i agree about Cadderly too
