Thoughts on first time party.. - Page 3

Interesting discussion on Rangers here chaps.

I can see both points of view. Whilst I agree with Gimli in that Ranger's have been denied some potentially very nice class based archer skills/bonuses, I also see Luvian's point in that the sterotype should be refuted and that they shouldn't necessarily get these skills on that alone.

Still, the option to do so would have been fantastic, as I'd have taken extra archer abilities over dual wielding any day.

My memories of the potent pepper-master ranger Kivan from BG1 (sadly not around in Bg2) are too good to stop thinking about Archery and Rangers in the same sentence.

I ditched the bard for pure Sorc. At least shes doing something now. As for the ranger, i threw in a lvl of monk for the wis ac bonus. I just hit lvl 5 druid so no fun with the shapeshiftin yet but I plan to eat them boys up with my wis enhanced AC and what not.
