Maybe it's possible with the unimproved demogorgon ?

lvl 1 - 5 spells, except breach. Greater Malison and Polymorph other are both below lvl 6.

IIRC, Demogorgan is not changed in the improved patch. They just gave him better scripts. Polymorph Other should not work on him, and it is immunity to spell level 1-6 if I am not mistaken.

Anybody care to take a look at the game code?

i'm ppretty sure i was hitting him with lower level spells too...
time to reload and verify -
i imagine lowering his magic resistance has no bearing on his 'immunity'..?
dundee are you telling me i am just about to finish ToB and that magic missiles Don't take care of stoneskins?!...holy cow did i ever fool myself for a long time haha
...actually now that i'm lookin at it, stoneskins Are stripped from "physical magical attacks such as magic missile"..
now i'm confused

Magic Missiles do not remove Stoneskins, but they do bypass it and still injure the target. Magic Missiles deal Magic Damage, not Physical Damage.

The level 5 spell, Lower Resistance is ignored by Demogorgan. You have to use Pierce Shield if you want to lower his Magic Resistance effectively.

so dispel magic is really the best way to remove stoneskins then..?
- my question regarding lowering his magic resistance applies to the answerer and its ability to lower a successful hits' mr;
though perhaps they are the same question if the sword's abilities are equivalent to the level of its potency...
i know i have them always after seven hits with my off-hand...
but not the prince..?

The Answerer should work. Breach is the best spell to remove Stoneskins, and is one of the few counterspells that work on Demogorgan.
