IIRC, you have to have high enough rep to succeed in the trial. BTW, you didn't avenge his sister's death, did you?

Pray Gods to have a savegame of a moment before his quest (father etc) started. Go to Tradesmeet, go to CC's slavers, go to the nearest temple, but raise your rep to 16-17. That should do.

Myself I would just kick A-No-Man out of the party and get Jaheira (or Aerie/Viconia if you already have the former).

Taran, I should point out here that Anomen failing his Test is NOT the end of the world. He will still have all the Tanking power he did before, he'll still be able to attain Grandmastery in any Cleric weapon, and--believe it or not--he'll still be a good Priest. True, if he had passed his Test he would have been able to cast more spells per day, but only 2 spells from Level 1 and 2 from Level 2. Not exactly anything that's going to make or break the game for you.

I have even deliberately made Anomen Fail, because it fit with the party I was roleplaying. And for the rest of the game, I was blissfully free of "I am pleased at the progress that this ill-concieved group has made. I had not thought such a thing possible." (pompous smirk) *SA--MAAAACK!!!*

ok guys, i never usually have more than one or two save files because it is very annoying. well i wont start over and i dont have a file before that one
i just think anoman really wanted it. ok well i hope he just doesnt complain the whole game about it
