Dundee, ever managed to minimize the number of rests before you get Wish? And to what result?

Myself I have never tried a time trial. I just enjoy lazy walk of an allmighty bulldozer who can smite all enemies into goo...

BTW, the most interesting time my sorc has is the mid(11-13)levels, when he slowly comes to power. Using bare spiders and MMM to kill Trolls in De'Arnise Keep is great. No Demogorgon delivers more pleasure

It is easy to play fully-developed sorc. Fun but easy. The process of him (sometimes her) coming to power is the thing that makes me solo a sorc more and more times!!

One of the beauties of being a Sorcerer is that you can select any spell from a given spell level depending on the circumstances and current needs, therefore maximising your spell usage. Before getting Project Image, I roughly need about 1-4 rests per major quest. When I obtain Project Image, I can afford to rest once every 2 major quests.

In some cases... it also depends on what the quest is, and what spells I have. For example, ONE Skeleton Warrior can clean house against the melee Gnomes and Sahuagin in the Planar Sphere, and absorb most of the spells that their spellcasters use. My Sorcerer can then use the Sling of Everand to KO all the Golems in the Golem Room and Engine Core Room.

That is ONE spell.

Is it cheese? No, it is not. It is simply frugal and smart usage of spells.

The better but cheesy option is to cast ONE Project Image and get 6 Skeleton Warriors. Proceed to use them one by one.

Even Skeleton Warriors make life much easier. Ever managed to complete the Planar Sphere (especially the demon fight) at lvl14, knowing that you need some 100k xp till lvl15. And no way to return back to your plane All that on insane.

I spent 2 evenings and 10-15 bottles of beer till I managed. As I've said before, no Demogorgon is better.

Heh, I usually only enter the Planar Sphere as soon as possible the moment I hit level 15, so kudos to you. The main problem I forsee is the lack of good summons, unless you choose to sacrifice Project Image and get Mordenkainen's Sword first. Sword Spiders do not really last long against Demons.

The Gnomes will still be managable between the Web + Spider Spawn combination and/or Death Spell. Golems are of course... laughable.

That said... I wonder if it is possible to gain 375000 XP within the Planar Sphere before you meet the Demons?
