I love BG1. I'm a roleplayer rather than a powergamer, and I find that developing your character through the beginning trials and tribulations gives you a profound sense of satisfaction, as well as making incredibly powerful characters.
I couldn't agree with this more. I am on my second campaign with my main character starting lvl 1 in BG1. True roleplaying at its finest.

Buying BG1 and ToSC at $19.99 - I may buy that package too and put it away as a spare!

Sorry guys..
Ive tried to replay it I really have, but sorry it is way to slow and (at the risk of getting flamed) it sucks. getting jammed in coridors, walking for hours, go get me this quests. and worst of all it takes time away from being able to play bg2.

I personally think BGI is GREAT the first time through, but it has some bad spots.

1) If you've played BGII, you may not be able to adjust at all.

2) BGII has much more replay value. It's not that it has tons and tons more, its just that it's more concentrated, so you don't spend a million hours walking over mostly empty maps.

3) Aaaaaagh, the walking speed!

I'll probably play it once or twice, I mainly want to experience the story in full at least once.

You can change the AI speed if walking speed is a problem for you...

Yeah I've played Bg1 with ToSC and I would recommend it before SoA. Incidental, have all BG games double packs now with the game and add-on. I really want ToB and I can't get it because I have already got SoA. Does anyone know (English users only) how to get it? I've tried Gameplay and Amazon.
