I agree re the utter bastard re Timber's rock under the slip n' slide! Oh bet you got lots of beatins for that LOL!
I remember having this one toy, these tennis ball sized glass/plexiglass? spheres, usually red or blue or transparent, both on a thick string, connected at the ends of the strings. The deal was you yanked you arms up and down with enough strength, and with consistent aim and rhythm, and you could get the two spheres to knock against eachother above and below, hard to explain. All I know is if you didn't do it right you got nailed pretty good |

Elvira Kurt did a VERY funny bit on toys/playground equipment a few decades ago and how it's all changed. She mentions lawn darts, too. Anyone hear that? P.S... What about The Underpant-Igniting Rollerskating Barbie? And Stretch Strangulation Armstrong Filled With Pus? We owned the former, and I've seen the latter. I now understand why the Stretch Armstrongs were recalled. It was possibly the most horrifying thing I've seen in a child's toy. ::waits in eager anticipation, knowing someone will remember something even more horrifying::
