Dameon seeing the horse lay its ears back and snort at him assumes a uncaring stance. Knowing full well that if the horse struck him it would be the last thing the horse would ever do. "Of course then i would have to deal with verloren and alliene. but it wouldn't be my fault if it attacked me first." Dameon says to himself. i could handle them both i have seen them fight. While they have never really seen my use all my skill yet Dameon thinks as he smirks.
doesn't mean i can't be alittle cocky with him does it?

ooc-bah, it was supposed to be "Shar burn her hide to ashes" lol
also, assume that Verloren's and Alliene's STR is 17 when their gear is not on

Give me a break Travis, like Dameon has seen all of my characters moves. He hasn't even seen Verloren when she's fully enraged
And i'm so sure Dameon is gonna woop a lot of horse ass when his head is caved in

Alliene turned to Calaethis with an indignant look,

"Sneak up on us while we're bathing, I see? Well, in answer to your question, this is a stealth operation. We shall take their House whilst they sleep. And my mother won't be thrashing any young ones, she is coming personaly to aid us in the battle. A good number of her best fighters and mages are coming too, as well as the Hand Maidens. Some will remain here, in case some of the other House's number manage to escape and then penetrate my...spell," she ran fingers through her wet hair, "My mother has said we will move out in 2 days, since there may be spies in the house," she said this quietly, then perked up, "It seems Zachy has picked up on Shev's scent, an old one. She should find him shortly."

Wind Shadow cocked his ear at Dameon and twitched his shoulder as if shaking off a fly. Not many knew he understood human and elven speech as clearly as his own. Thats what was nice about coming from Defari. Horses were treated better than most of the humans in that city. If it attacked him first? He tossed his silver head and breathed in his scent again. Not evil at all. Dangerous yes, but then, so was his princess. Why had she put off that interesting vibe then? No matter, he was obviously on their side. Yawning with a mouth large enough to clutch 2 human heads, he swished his golden tail and trotted over to Skye, bringing his head down and snuffling her hair. This one was the same breed as his princess. He perked his ears forward and nudged her softly. He decided that he liked her, as well as the childeren with her. He had always liked childeren. Tapping the ground with his steel shoed hooves, he made a small grunt and sniffed the ground distastefuly. Rock was not good to eat. Sighing, he backed away from Skye so he could flop himself onto the cool stone. Verloren would return soon and feed him. Strange how most two-legs underestimated him, and his princesses, for that matter. Well, he had been summoned here to do what he did best: kill enemies and run with his princess.

Shadow strolled around, admiring his surroundings. He come to a locked door, "Well I am sure our hostess didnt mean to lock me out of any rooms."

He kneels in front of the door and slides his lock picks out of one of his many pockets.

Calaethis nodded and averted his eyes, then smiled slightly. "Forgive me cousin - but its not like I haven't seen you bathe before." He shrugged slightly. "I s'pose I could use a bath as well, but... I'll wait until your prudeness has finished." he grined outrageosly, then turned his back on her. ***OOC - is anyone else in there with you lb? I forget. Note to self, dont post when I've just got up... sleepy ***. Calaethis shook his head when he heard the matron was coming. "Is that such a wise idea cousin? I mean, if she falls - whos next in line? Yes, its a slim chance, slim indeed - but still... also - who is going to look after the children whilst we're away. Any drow that keeps an eye on them is likely to beat them if they misbehave. Perhaps an elven slave?" Cal made a face, he dislike the idea of elven slaves, possibly because he was an elf himself. He also didn't want to come back victorious only to find a pair of whiny, whinging, crying children. Who would no doubt bug not only Skye - but get on Alliene's nerves as well.

***OOC - lb - kill Alliene's mother... new chapter name - "Ashes of the aftermath; Heir to a House" how does that sound? hehe. Well, a plot char SHOULD die at some point. I mean, in most books, a plot char dies every so often... ***

ic:Khalraan watched the silvery horse trot around the room, and followed him holding a fascination for such an animal as he had never seen before.(ooc:wind shadow is a 'him' right, lb? if not i'll change my post )With his childish enthusiasm he stroked the horses long, flowing mane, not knowing how intelligent the magnificent creature was. Pulling a piece of bread from his pocket that he had 'borrowed' from house Streea kitchen he fed the beautiful horse, which was nuzzling his hand.

ooc:Cal, 'whiny whingy crying children' lol, i think not

Skye smiled behind her hand at all the attention the great warhorse was getting. 'And probably enjoying it too, I shouldn't wonder,' she thought with a chuckle. Sitting herself down next to him, she pet it's silky mane and chided Khalraan "Now don't give him too much food, or you might make him sick. You wouldn't want that, now would you?" Damion looked at the horse's feet, his eyes wide with awe. "It's almost bigger'n him!" he pointed at Dameon. "I wish I had a horse to ride on... we'd go on lots of adventures, and we'd be heroes!" the small drow child waved an imaginary sword about.

of course you can be cocky. One who is ignorant of horses would be and it is a he LHEL, thats whats the name 'stallion' implies *chuckles*
I was considering killing the Matron, but there are plus sides and down-sides to it, so it's still in consideration

Alliene shrugged and swam to the edge of the pool, folding her arms on the stone,

"A small lesson in drow customs, cousin. Public fighting is more or less not allowed, and anyone caught fighting is deswtroyed immediatley. The same goes for house battles. If we don't completely erradicate every single person who serves the house, the survivors can call down drow justice and the whole city would be on us in an instant. That is why we are doing it when we are sure that everyone who serves the first house will be there," she sighed and rubbed her dark skin, "We should have enough, with the weapons master and his alcolites, and the head mage with his supplicants....not to mention our Hand Maidens," House Streea and the 1st house were the only 2 houses where the Matron only had one daughter. Usually Hand Maidens were blood related to the Matron. Her mother was the only Matron is drow history to worship Shar, and even that was hidden to all but her and a few others. Even using the dragons would be dangerous, since silvers were not liked by her race. She was confident that with their numbers and skill they could bring the 1st House down and retain their own lives.

Wind Shadow chomped the bread happily and proceeded to lick the crumbs off Khalraan's small hand with his huge tongue. He brought his head lower so the little elf could scratch his neck and closed his eyes happily. Hearing approaching footsteps, he lifted his neck to its full height and stared down a good half foot at Dameon's face, twitching his ears. Sniffing the fruit cautiously, he considered. Some fruit wasn't healthy for horses. Anything with high amounts of citric acid. Oranges and even green apples, which were his favorite, were restricted to him. He sniffed it again and perked his ears. It smelled alright, at least. Gripping it with his front teeth, Wind Shadow chewed it in half and proceeded to enjoy the fruit over the man-thing's hand, oozing bits of fruit and juice all over it. Picking up the other half, he swallowed it in one gulp without spilling a piece, just to show he could. He tossed his head and neighed his laughter, causing Avalon to snicker behind a clawed hand. Wiping stray chunks on his ebony nose onto the man's tunic, he pivoted on his back hoof and picked Khalraan up by his cloak, flinging the elf onto his broad back, and doing the same to Damion, after hearing his comment. He then proceeded to do a smooth trot around the perimeter of the cave, careful not to let the elves fall.

Muttering to herself about preparations that would be needed for the battle a few days early, Matron Streea stopped dead as she reached the corner of a corridor. One of her daughter's friends was kneeling in front of her door where she kept some priceless heirlooms of the Streea house. He was pulling some tools out of a pouch. She could sense the ward still in place. If he picked that lock a nasty acidic spell would quickly melt the theif away to nothing. Supposing that her daughter didn't want to lose her ally before the battle, she strode purposefly down the hall and cleared her throat loudly behind Shadow, stroking the handle of her 6 headed flail,

"I would watch what you do around here, half-thing. You wouldn't want to come to an untimely death before you got to loot the 1st House now would you?"

"Iam glad that the horse liked the fruit. i need to wash my tunic now." With that dameon takes of his tunic and goes to look for some water in which he can wash it in.
OOC-LB you don't ahve to kill all the serving members of the house just all of the nobles. if a noble survives then they can call the law of the drow not a commoner only a noble. Unless its different from everything i have read. correct me if iam wrong.
