I don't care if you're a half drow... I still like you, despite what my cousin thinks.." he lowered his voice, and whispered the last part in Kat's ear, still expecting his cousin to hear...

She flushed and glanced away from Alliene and Calaethis, at her panther and Calthy's wolf. they were sleeping, side by side.

The dragon brought her snout down and nuzzeled Alliene lovingly, and she smiled. The dragon was over 500 years old, and knew things she could only dream of. She sighed and cast a special spell on the fish, cooking and preserving it.

Calaethis caught his cousin's look and blushed, hasitily changing the topic he asked "When will we be leaving? after breakfast I hope?"

She looked startled. "You can cope without me. You most certainly do not need me." she turned away, reaching for her bag, to find Calaethis already grabbed hold of it.

"No" he said quietly "I won't leave you, or allow you to go. Why can't both of you stop bickering!" he breaks off with a sob... and promtly hides in the shadows "Go for all I care! Both of you!" He yells, and with that runs off into the woods, his cloak preventing his cousin from using magic to track him...

NOW she felt awful. "Track him." she said to Callistia, who leaped after the fleeing ranger. Grabbing her bow, she began to move after him as well.
