Within the game that is Lord of the Forums, we have had an extensive history of many facets. We have absorbed ideas from other games. We have adopted members of other games. We have played in several areas, many of which were never named or mapped out to the consideration of neighboring areas. Due to the abstract possibilities in Lord of the Forums, we have been able to game in a world that has few restrictions and endless possibilities for future gaming. It was my mistake to pursue mapping in detail of the game, because that task would not be able to take into account gaming that had already occurred without extensive work, nor could I have avoided stepping on the toes of game leaders from borrowed games. However, in the most recent conversation with Cyril we discovered a way to make Lord of the Forums work in the concreteness that I was aiming for and at the same time create a game that was so vast that endless possibilities could continue. We realized that we have already set up the game in such a way as to permit a very simple explanation of what Lord of the Forums actually is. The game is comprised of a base game and related modules. The Lord of the Forums is the stand-alone base game. The modules are linked to the base game but neither gaming world affects the other in terms of geography, gaming rules and goals. Players can move between modules, maybe never realizing that they are making the jump from one gaming world to another until they are confronted with a new rules set, for example. In this way, we will not overstep our boundaries and not overwrite games that have a right to exist in their own designs. Lord of the Forums story is a game where the action is mainly centered on the Inner Forums and the Tower of Shadow. In this game, we refer to other forums of Ironworks as “lands” and the moderators of IW as demi-gods to the Supreme God Ziroc. Ironworks is the world in which we live and game. The Tower where the moderator now known as the Shadow Mage lives is within a desert, surrounded by a protective mountain range. This game is also the ancient grounds of where the Clans used to exist. The Module One-Eyed Wolf was a game where Larry Silverfall and Mistral Freelight Silverfall come from. These characters exist in the gaming world where Amn is the city where most of the game is centered around. OEW maintains its title as its own game, but due to its inactivity we have turned it into a module of the LoF main game. It keeps its own rules, histories, creatures and environments, but action and personages are free to cross-over into the main game (LoF). Ravenwood is an elven city within this game. Its importance to LoF will be apparent soon, but just know that Ravenwood is a part of the OEW gaming world and its location is just generally speaking as north of the Tower of Shadow and North of the city of Amn, but no distinct measurements can be had. We speak in direction as generalized and not specific. Lockesville is separated with many days’ journey through a dense forest. How many from one city to another will not be measured because the trip is hypothetical and not measurable when referring to crossing seams in the game modules. This seam connects this game to the main Lord of the Forums game. The city that Sever comes from, Kromdale, is a part of the Lockesville module in the Lord of the Forums base game. Although Sever can move between the seams and cross over into the LoF main game, the influence of Kromdale, the history of Kromdale, and the rules that govern the game Lockesville do not influence any other game that it is seamed to. Sever originated in the Lockesville game and his biography is contained therein. His town of origin is part of the Lockesville storyline only and will not be added to any other game geography like OEW. The country that is in the North will be a module where the Reaper is at war with the Dwarves. The Reaper is trying to create his own module and claim a game for his own. If he does that, he will have gained power on the Role-Play forum that might rival the power of the Mage in owning a module of his own. He might then try to take the module of LoF away from the Mage. The North Country will be its own game, and have its own rules and own player cast, but will be a part of the LoF base game. In other words, no map could easily say that the North is so many days’ walk north from the Tower. The seams in the game prevent an accurate measurement because they are not on the same lands, they are hypothetical boundaries. The Underforums is involved directly in the Lord of the Forums game world, but it is under the “forums”. The caverns that were visited in a previous game cannot just be found on a map without knowing where the seam is located to enter that game. The Castle of Lesismoore is involved directly in the Lord of the Forums game world, but its location along with the marshes are somewhere North-East of the Tower of Shadow. No map will say exactly how far. Cyril Darkcloud comes from a game world that is not mapped but it is a module in its own right. There is space there that cannot be mapped and cannot be called a land within any other game on Ironworks. In fact, Cyril’s land is foreign to Ironworks. He cam move from his game world into ours through the seams. One last thing. The Mage of Shadow has many powers that govern all of the Role-play forum and many areas outside the RP forum. This means that he is free to move between the seams of games uninhibited and can alter or control areas outside the Lord of the Forums game title. For this reason, he is a threat to Ironworks RP forum and this is why so many people fight to see his demise. If the Mage were allowed to run free, he would be a threat to anybody’s game, for his powers are immeasurable, and growing stronger. What his actual plans are, people can only guess at. They’d prefer to stop him before he won whatever goal he was after.

This is a DM edit of what can be used in the game at this time. Additional information may be added as needed.
The Big City...Sever's hometown "Kromdale" A powerful city-state located on a coastal region of the Forums. "Kromdale" has a dominant naval presence in the seas and an extensive merchant fleet that provides it wealth and proseperity. Kromdale is a very multi-racial city blending a diverse range of customs and religions into a thriving melting pot of commerce. Geographically, the city is dominated by its massive, fortified port district. Sprawling out from the port lie the market and industrial districts, as well as the slums. Cresting the hills of the city lie the fortified Noble and Government districts. Kromdale is an area located within the Lockesville game module. [ 06-03-2006, 07:26 PM: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ]

Since regaining spells requires more than just resting, but also time spent studying, or, in the case of a priest, meditating and praying, you'll have to wait on the new spell until Xaver has had a bit of time for his devotions.

I almost burst out laughing at CE being referred to as the dangerous place.

Sever and Pandaros can move themselves into the Inn whenever they are ready and meet up with Xaver, a PC that the'll be interested in meeting.
