Don't worry Skye, i share your AOL woes, heh. Unfortunatley where i live we don't get cable quite yet, best we can is T1 and thats only if we're withing 3 miles of a school that uses it. which i am fortunatley [img]tongue.gif[/img] But its more expensive than aol

Verloren watched the alien's blade work with facination. His style was the same, yet different, his movements quick and precise. She stretched up and tapped Zachana,

"Come on, Zach, show me where the food in this place is,"
The dragon nodded, "Sure, my lady, follow me,"

They exited the forge room and went up the hall. Alliene paused at the doorway to look at Dameon, "You would be unable to forge a weapon on a normal forge down here, they would dissolve as soon as we left. You will have to live with your own, for now," she continued out the door and wound up the halls into her mother's room, where the Matron was bathing in a small whirlpool. She looked over as Alliene entered,
"Good to see you daughter, why don't you join me,"
Alliene nodded and stripped her chain, belt, and the rest of her clothing, joining her mother in the pool, "So tell me, mother, what are your plans for the battle?"
The matron leaned forward, her purple eyes shining, "It is like this, daughter. Their house is not as heavily fortified as our own, and they recently lost 2 of their hand-maidens to Lloth. Shar has spoken to me in my dreams, and told me you were on your way, since you seem to be high in her favor. We will make an attack while they are sleeping. Now, heres what I've planned for our strategy..." she waved her hand and a 3D portrait of the opponent house came up, with little miniature drow moving around it in groups. She listened intently as Matron Streea began explaining how they were to win.

Calaethis had had enough of sparring for a while, and went to sit down by himself. He looked at the two children next to Skye, and impishly suggested that Verloren and Dameon give them a lesson in how to use their weapons. Sssiks'barra glowed a pale blue, with flashes of green drifting over it. Seeing Lady Verloren ask the Black where some food was, Calaethis decided it might not be a bad idea to eat himself, and sprinted over to them. "Mind if I join you, my lady?" he asked and bowed.

***OOC, yeah, sometimes I cant be bothered to spell LB, and I happen to be in a rush.. *shrugs* a lame excuse but... ***

well, if you get cable modem lb, then it replaces the cost of another fone line and aol. unfortunately we've been having a bit of trouble with it ourselves, since our cable co seems to have stopped supplying a reliable cable modem... [img]graemlins/yawn.gif[/img] oops, there i go ranting again..

ic- Skye grinned at Cal's suggestion. "That's not such a bad idea... anyone willing to teach them?" she asked the others. "I'm a blade bard, but I'm not specifically specialized in the art of war like some people in this room are. I'm only good at flashy, lethal maneuvers," she said with a wink. Damion tugged on her hand and whined to her "Skyyyee, I'm hungry. Can we find some food? Pleeaase?" she winced, looking down at the child's melty puppy dog eyes. "Alright alright, just stop giving me that look. You know I can't resist it," she said jovially to the child, who cheered. "The only person I know who can make my name into three syllables instead of one," she muttered aloud, to the amusement of those who overheard her.

Calaethis turned around and saw Skye and the child talking together about getting some food. He stopped Zach, and waited for them. He smiled slightly, genuine warmth in him. "coming you two?" he asked pleasently.

ic- Skye smiled at Cal, and was pulled forward by an anxious Damion to catch up. "Yes, I believe that's the plan," she said dryly but humourously. Looking back at Khalraan she asked "Do you want to come too, or stay with the others?" she eyed Dameon, not because she didn't trust him, but because of the threats she had heard that others said would happen if he was left alone with the young elf. "Surely as a growing young lad you must be starving," she said jokingly. Damion looked at her and whimpered. "I got a lot more growing to do than him! I'm starving! Can we go, pleaaaassee?" Skye smiled down at him. "Just a moment, we have to wait to see what Khalraan wants to do." she looked back questioningly.

Verloren saw Shadow leaning against a wall and jumped next to him with an amused grin, reaching over and gripping his hand in a death grip,

"Come! I am sure you are hungry too, kin!" she tugged him off towards the kitchens, Calaethis, Skye, and Damion following.

Shadow decides that it would not be wise to break free of Verloren's grasp, after a few moments of consideration he is not sure if he even could break free.

He resigns himself to being dragged to the kitchen.

As the party reaches the kitchen they find Avalon with a huge steak of some underground beast, half eaten already, in front of him. Verloren chuckels and releases Shadow's now firmly crushed hand. She gives Avalon a kiss on the cheek and touches a part in the wall, which opened up to reveal a huge cooler. She stepped in and rummaged around before emerging with various food stuffs and 7 mugs balanced on top. After dumping it all on the table in a most un=queenly fashion, she grabs the only wine glass in the pile of mugs and openes up another wall, grabbing a flask of rich port and filling the glass half way, she proceeded to dig in with Avalon and his steak,

"Come on everyone, you're aloud to eat too," she chuckled

As the party tucks in, Alliene walks in wearing normal drow aparrel of nobility, though her sword belt is still latched firmly on. Her eyes are sharp and bright as she sits down,

"This is going to be a very interesting battle, my friends," she contented herself to drink Verloren's port and eat Avalon's steak.
