I will be perfectly honest with you Moiraine - I had to look it up! Shame on me I am such a donut at times! I also now realise that I've been spelling your name wrong. Sorry

Donut, no need to apologize !
As for "hubris", I really would have liked to explain that, since it was a really important concept for ancient Greeks, but your explanation was so complete I really had nothing to add so ... next time, I'll be quicker than you, I swear !

Well, I have played Sable - paladin - after ummm . . . Women's Professional Wrestler . . . currently playing a twisted, overposting Necromancer named Amber . . . have played a Rogue named Kierinne, and a Barbarian named Og.

And my Black Knight? I was flipping through Magic Cards to pick my nick and that is the first "manly" card I picked.

Although I have used Epona for one PC, and Morrigan for another (see thread about board nicknames in Gen Discussion board), other names I use include:

Marlowe (bard) - as in Christopher Marlowe, a contemporary of Shakespeare
Theognis (bard) - archaic Greek poet
Minerva - Roman goddess
Oberon - Shakespeare's king of the fairies
Hippolyta - Amazon queen, also a Shakespearian reference
Lysander - another Shakespearian character

Guess what, I like Shakespeare. Guess what my favourite play is?

Thanx Epona, I don't often get here, so I will post here as well.
Heh, I did not chose my name because of the movie. This has been my primary baord name for many years. Since I think most people have a fair idea of what a relic is, I won't belabour a definition. Some relic's are priceless treasures, and some are cursed objects better left unfound. Since many of my friends here know that I suffer from a chronically poor opinion of myself, I shall not elaborate further

Well this isn“t really a poll is it? or maybe well I have to cut and paste then..(oups gave away my laziness there )
Wolf big furry thing that runs around and somtimes seems to have a sounder way towards life and each other than humans have.. Hey they taught us to hunt for larger families, they taught us respect for elders.. Loyalty, well and the saddest character is the lonewolf, cause every breath he takes is a fight for life..

gir- a cool sounding ending, never thought about the resemblance to girl though until it was pointed out to me well give a nordic taste and well trying to take care of something of our culture here so the blasted neo-nazis and other stupd a-holes take all the cool sounding names to their foul business... Sorry for the rant..

Well I like wolves and I have been deeply inspired by them..

Ok, to make a difference to the reply in Epona“s thread, I eh, well used to call mysel for different fallen angels names before, until one day in a discussion with a lady on ICQ she just asked me what my name sttod for and I described it and she said" But that is horrible and awful, why you are not like that?"
Well started to think but no answer came to me, and awhile after I met my first live wolf, we just stared at each other and then it huffed and just jumped back into the forrest, I was in awe. Thoose eyes, I can never describe it.. Well a short blmey tale eh?
