N'landroshien or Gabriel. The first means death of elves(or somthing like that) and I use it when playing an elf. The seconded for the same reason I uses it here.

Melusine after a French legend, or I use other names from fantasy/mythology.
Names I have used: Ehlana, Garion (wanted to check out male romances), Artemis, etc. etc. ------------------ Melusine http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memnoch/mel1.gif Your voice is ambrosia |
My RL name is Lillie, so is my character's name http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Melusine, yours is a great name ! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif
Before Moiraine, I often used Modesty (from Modesty Blaise - English people know who she is), but also Morgane and Sylviane. ------------------ http://user.tninet.se/~csx358e/mbpix...ketches005.JPG |
I had a monk named Han Hu (Yoshimo Portrait),
then an Euro monk named Francis of Assisi (custom portrait), a Bard named Ruadh, (Eldroth) a Cavalier named Sir Galahad, a Beastmaster named Alarian of Umar, an Archer named Robin of Loxley, a Berzerker named William of Oban, (Mel Gibson portrait) a Sorcorer named... oh forget it, I can't remember them all Rikard! ------------------ FAIR DINKUM! |
Yor, is it on purpose that you choose names so hard to pronounce by French people ? http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif

moraine (noun) : accumulated earth and stones deposited by a glacier. It's also the name of a place in Ohio. Hmmmm! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...miles/wink.gif
My characters name is Donut(Son of Donut). Why - because I am a Donut and so was my father. ------------------ The Truth is in the Profile |
Yes, Donut, the French word you were referring to (glacier stuff) is also "moraine" in French. I am more fire than ice though !
BTW, you beat me on the spot with the "hubris" explanation. Shame on me (I have studied ancient Greek for 5 years in high school) ! ------------------ http://user.tninet.se/~csx358e/mbpix...ketches005.JPG |
