Summon Planetar has a duration of 4 rounds +1/level.
As far as I know, Normal Planetars are the same as Fallen Planetars. Maybe they have some different spells, but not that I know of.

heh! Not much, but still worth it!

About the vorpal sword... I see it is a special class of swords - vorpals, with their own abilities. What would they be, and what is their source in literature? I met them in some MUDs etc.

And about the Wish - can I wish to change a spell duration?
If no, is there any such spell as Permanency (IMO lvl8) D&D spell? It was meant (i may be mistaken) to extend the duration of spell effect to permanent...

the only difference between summon planetar and fallen planetar i know is that u can have planetar if you are good, fallen planetar if u r evil, and one or the other(not both) if u r neutral.

Vorpal means the weapon has a chance to instantly kill the target.

In the Planetar's case, the target has to save vs death to avoid death. The chance of a vorpal hit for the Planetar's weapon is 25%. It is more or less the same as the Githyanki's Silver Sword.

No permanency, but yes, it can extend the duration of some spells. Double length Time Stop+Improved Alacrity comes to mind.

Are you sure they carry Vorpals Dundee? It's just I when played TOB I used to summon those things(Planetars/Devas) like there was no tomorrow but I never once experienced one killing a foe, maybe this is just bad luck on my part but it just seems too wierd especially with a 25% chance of vorpal hit.

The Planetars carry a Vorpal Two-Handed Sword +3, and I know it is vorpal, because I have seen the special effect, and enemies die in one hit( high Hp enemies, not Goblins ).

The Devas carry a modifed version of the Mace of Disruption. Cleric players should be clearer on the enchantment level( should be +3 as well) and their other abilities.

But can i Wish to increase the duration time of the spell Absolute Immunity? It would be an ultimate bane to all fighters...

Nope. I wish.

By the way, Absolute Immunity is not the best spell against enemies. Protection from Magical Weapons coupled with Stoneskins is better.

If you continue on to ToB, that means you have gone through the Nine Hells' tests. One of the rewards( good path) renders you immuned to +1 enchanted and normal weapons. This innate ability plus PfMW means total immunity to weapons for 4 rounds. Very potent when you consider the Cloak of Mirroring and Spell Trap as well.

But as far as I remember, PfMW protects only from +3 or less weapons. And I intend to do a deathmatch with a guy who will probably have the allmighty Carsomyr he promises to put in my @$$ And with Absolute Immunity I will be able to completely ignore all his hits. The fight will be a tough one, because he is lvl 25 berserker at this very moment, and he will level more and more So if there were a way to increase the duration...
