Will I be able to cast Full Wish in SoA? Or do I have to be content with the limited version? In Shadowkeeper spell list the name Wish occurs multiple times, but never with a proper description/picture... Or shell I install ToB to use it?

Also, another question about ToB spells. Dundee Slaytern mentioned a spell called improver alacrity. What does it do, what are the effects and where do you get the scroll?? Is it a ToB-only spell?

You have to install ToB to cast wish cause as far as I know there's no Wish scroll in SoA. Improved Alacrity is ToB only lvl 10 spell. It skips the pauses between casting spells.

AARGH!! I wanna ToB! Those @#$% pauses are the only thing I hate in being a mage... So I understand if I install ToB I will get those spells while being able to continue the SoA storyline game?

philip 09-02-2002 06:11 AM

You start with SoA, then install ToB (that's what I've read, I'm searching for ToB) and you'll have ToB xpcap and can cast lvl 9(+)spells out of your spellbook instead of from scrolls

TaSSaDaR 09-02-2002 06:41 AM

Are there any other lvl10 spell in ToB?

Kaltia 09-02-2002 06:44 AM

Improved Alc=acrity, Dragon's breath, energy blades, Summon Planetar.

I suppose they all are so cool as that Imp. Alacrity?
Dragon breath sounds promising ;)

Improved Alacrity is not the only level 10 spell, there are...

... Dragon's Breath and Comet, which I dubbed as Demi-Lich-killers. Cast one of these spells on a Demi-Lich to find out why.

Then we have Energy Blades, an improved version of Melf's Minute Meteors, but people rarely use them because level 9/10 spell slots are better spent on other kinds of spells.

Lastly, we have Summon Planetar. Virtually an additional NPC, it is immuned to spells that kills summons instantly( since it is a gated summon, not a summoned summon), immuned to magic fire and cold, immuned to +1 enchanted or less weapons, wields a Vorpal Two-Handed Sword +3, has an amazing range of Priest spells like Earthquake, Globe of Blades, Insect Plague, Firestorm, Heal, etc... ...

Hey, I should be going searching all the shelves of local shops looking for the ToB CD!! That is REALLY worth...
What then is the duration of that planetar summon? And what is the difference btw normal and fallen planetars??
