Yes it should.
I backed up all my CDs this way when I was moving from UAE to Poland. Works fine and no copy protection caused any problem.

I'd need to make an ISO, but I have no idea how to do that!
Download win_iso, it lets you create a new image the same way you would create one for an archive in winzip. Then download Daemon Tools virtual drive manager whatever and you can create virtual DVD drives on your computer where it can "mount" the images and play them.

code:
dd if=/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 of=foo.iso
[eject CD, put in blank]
cdrecord --device /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 foo.iso
[/QUOTE]Should, theoretically, bypass copy protection, since dd doesn't have the slightest clue about the fact that there's a filesystem or even a CD, it just knows about the bits. If it works (read: if cdrom special devices know how to burn CDs), dd if=/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 of=/dev/cdroms/cdrom1 might even be a better bet (and is easier).

But ofcourse, Windows doesn't like to provide you with such useful tools.

http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/ get a tral verson of Alcohol 120% and then get http://www.free-downloads.net/progra...ny_XXL_2_0_1_5 nd use that to find the copy protection. then use Alcohol 120% to create an image of the CD but make sure you use the correct copy protection for each CD.
also here is a basic guide to get you started http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/28487
hope that helps.
