thanks for the info rimjaw, i'll be sure to do that after the damn underdark which i am have A LOT of trouble in... but i don't want help! i'm not stumped or anything, just having trouble... you know... in not dying and whatnot. stupid death movie! i almost punched a hole in my screen when i saw that decaying hand for the 25th time!

I'm sure you'll find one. There must be several in Athkatla alone. Check the vendors at the Adventurer's Mart and the guy in the Promenade a bit northeast of the Den of the Seven Vales (marked something like "magic store" on the map)

Coulden´t help noticing that you have a Kensai-mage... how the hell do you get one? i mean... you cant dual-class kensais... right? atleast it´s never worked for me... I had to stick to the god old sorcerers.

Also remember that a bard, who can cast mage spells, can also have a familiar!

If you are trying to find a "Find Familiar" scroll, you can find one in the chest next to the forge in De'Arnise Keep.

Beastmaster rangers can also get familiars.

Actually, every class can have a familiar. At least, it works for me, but I'm running the unpatched version, so I don't know if this is a bug that's fixed with the patch...

My (human) Kensai has the option to Dual-Class, but since I don't want to be a dual-class kensai, I don't know if she can be a Kensai-mage, but I do know that she can dual-class. Maybe it has to be human? Hope it helps.

Also - could anyone tell me in a pm (since I don't know if I'll find this post again) what happened to the 'search' feature? When I need help I'm going to hate to have to post things that have probably been answered a hundred times before. Thanks,

To dualclass a Kensai to a Mage, you need to be...

1) Human
2) Have at least 15 STR
3) Have at least 17 INT
4) At least level 2
