About like,8 years ago, when I was five, the toy that was most popular for a lot of people I knew were the "Beast Wars" toys, from the Transformers. Now that I look back at them I wonder to myself "Why the hell did I collect those..." because I lost most of the parts to them, got them stolen, and really screwed them up. But they were still fun to play with. I think the original transformers were cooler anyway.

When I was a kid GI Joe was 12" tall, wore cloth uniforms, and actually had a fuzzy crew cut.
But my favorites were the 8" Marvel and DC superheroes with cloth costumes. My Batman had a removable cloth cape and a plastic cowl. Now that was cool.

I was an army man freak. I had over "5000" 4 inch tall army men, Half were Germans and the other half were american. I had somewhere around 60 army Tanks, Cannon, Trucks and other assorted armored Halftracks and self propelled guns. I also had about 1000 Japineese soulders too.
I had 6 remote controlled Bull Dog tanks that would shoot plastic bullets about 25 feet, and it would shoot fire crackers about 20 feet. When I was a kid I lived with in california with my family on our Quarter Horse Ranch and my DAD made an area for me to play army in that was 50 feet wide and 70 feet long. My three best friends and myself made the best war Zone with trenches, Tank traps, Mine fields, Mountains with Gun inplacements. The four of us had some of the best war games you have ever seen. One time I'll never forget we had a bunch of our friends come over and we had one 8 man team and one 7 man team War game that lasted almost 15 hours and 2500 fire crackers later. what an awsome Battle My ears are still ringing from all the fire crackers going off near my head that day. The tank battle was like nothing you ever saw. Rommel and Patton would have been proud of us. ![]() ![]() I almost forgot I had over 400 dead guys with missing leggs and arms. We had painted them with red model paint to add to the effect. It grossed out my Mon and two sisters. some even had little swords from cocktail weenies sticking through them and we said the were bayonets.
