The worst trash on tv are the reality shows. From Survivor to Joe Millionaire, they all suck. Except maybe the one about the Cirque Du Soliel. Oops, sorry. I forgot that reality shows are not supposed to deal with real life.

What are you all talking about??? TV is great! Truly excellent! There's cricket and football and cricket and tennis and cricket... How can it be bad with all this cricket and stuff on?

Cricket and stuff, I can handle and I still enjoy watching the Simpsons... but the reality TV just isn't my style... I'd rather have my own reality than spend half an hour watching a fabricated version of someone elses. There are a whole load of issues relating to playing on peoples emotions for entertainment... shows like temptation island, the villa. If you just want to see people getting with each other and generally being slutty, this is the kind of show for you .
Really scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas now.

The wall is well and truly covered in shit... unfortunately it seems some of it is actually sticking.

The problem is that people watch...
They make all that crap 'cause people actually watch it, like it, and ask for more...

This is sad really.

Oh btw, I saw some Jerry Springer shows (yeah it came to France unfortunately), and I always wondered : it's all fake isn't it ?

Yep, most of it. It's all a load of crap. It's fun to watch for a short period, but after that it's only annoying. I don't know if anyone saw the show with that wimpy looking dude, who called himself Mr. Ooh lala, but that was as fake as fake can be.

On this topic, they're going to make a tv show where people will run for president of the US. Does anyone else have a sick to the stomach feeling that the morons in this country will actually vote for that person and stick us with a prez who knows even less then the current one? (sorry, couldn't resist that last slam)
And I agree, Buffy good, except that last night she didn't know what TTFN meant, I was so dissapointed in her

Well, as long as C.S.I. is on the air, I'm all for TV.

And, two comedies that I thought would suck but are instead really funny are Scrubs and AUSA.

And, anyone who liked the Sopranos would love Kingpin.

Just make sure you limit how much time each day you operate the idiot box.

[And just to watch Attalus and MagiK go nuts:] Oh yeah, and West Wing (or Left Wing if you prefer) still has the best and most realistic dialogue of about any show ever.

Sometimes I feel guilty about the time I spend on the computer since I got it last year. Baldurs gate and flight simulator are the only 2 games on it. But every time I go back into the front room and join my missis to watch a bit of tv I realise that my brain is being insulted and may as well be put in a pickle jar preserved for a later date. At least at the computer I get to exercise my mind and enjoy intresting (virtual) conversation. How much time have I wasted in front of that thing?

The few exceptions are mainly some of the childrens tv. We are very strict upon what the children watch but there are some very good educational programmes out there. Many of them American!
