This doesn't surprise me in the slightest cos my brother was bitten by a squirrel when he was a kid.

One time when we were camping, i forget where, there were squirrels and gophers working together. I am serious, the squirrels would throw pinecones and stuff and then the gophers would run in for the food. One attacked my dog...
