It's got to be Brunel. Churchill? Rubbish! Any fool can knock things down, especially when he has an army to do it for him. It takes real greatness to build a country up, and that's what Brunel did.

I vote for Henry VIII. He MADE England a world power because he REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wanted it to be a world power. For simple stubborn britishness, can't beat the big guy with the beard and the wives.
