I heard that your grand father passed away and that's why you're out of the country. If that's the case, please accept my condolences. I'm happy to see that you were not in the vicinity of this plane crash and that you're alright [img]smile.gif[/img]

Now, to answer your question about the statistical safety after a plane crash. You're slightly wrong. I know it's a ill statement to make but there's sort of that view in the flying community that when you have one commercial plane crash, you'll get two more (worldwide) within a one week period. Statisticly, they seem to come in packs of 3 . But still, airplanes are the safest mean of transportation.

Let's be perfectly clear that there is NO EVIDENCE linking this crash to any terrorist attack. We don't want to spread false information. As such I will be moving this to the GD forum.

FYI my aunt lives in Queens, where this plane crashed.
