Ok, now it is about the 10th post in a row a read with people only thinking about powergaming and I am getting a little mad. THIS IS A ROLEPLAYING GAME!! ACT LIKE IT!! DO NOT TAKE EDWIN IF YOU ARE GOOD! DO NOT LOWER A STATS TO 3 AT CREATION BECAUSE IT COULD ALLOW YOU TO RAISE YOUR IMPORTANT STATS! IF YOU ARE GOOD, DO NOT MAKE EVIL CHOICES IN HELL TO GET THE DAMNED SWORD!!

Yes! He has two more spells per levels, but it is not important if he has the ULTIMATE spell of killing everything! If you character is good, then he should not want to have such an evil character!

actually luvian, unless you are a goody-two-shoes paladin, a true warrior would be smart enough to know that he must survive, at any cost. to employ the use of a wizard in a group of warriors, rogues, and priests is just intelligent thinking. a true warrior will make aliances, even with evil, in order to accomplish his goals. as long as you dont become "friends", and keep it on a strictly "i need you spells, so you can join my group" type of scenario, then you are still role-playing.

Yes, you are right, but this mage is creating lot of comflicts in the group, and is not acting very good, so a good character might take only so far as he need him, so when he find Nalia he would take her instead. She might not be as powerfull a mage, but at least she really want to do good.

Well, I have to say that I totally disagree with many of the comments on this thread.
1. Evil is not just funny comments. Evil is liking to do bad things. Edwin will NEVER be in my party, and I've been through the game nine times.
2. Just where do you get that Jan and Yoshimo are the only decent thieves? Imoen is every bit as good, and I've done the game several times with Nalia as my thief until I got Immy back.
3. All this because the Crimson Creep gets more spells? When was the last time you were down to your last spell, so that you need two more. I am going through the game right now with just my Paladin, Imoen, and Viconia, and we aren't having any problems.

Yay, Gal, you go, girl! I think I read somewhere that it is only the young gamers that think that evil is such a hoot. I see evil, and it is not funny at all.

I agree on that. Teens like to identify themselves to evil characters, because they see them as rebels against the autority.

Not all teens are like that, i personally play Good char's all the time, only twice have i used bad char's (Korgan i think, and Viconia (only Vicky cause i wanted Romance with her.. ))

So you see, not all teens love to play Evil characters because it makes them seem more Rebellious, its just a funner way to play, and because its harder to get through the game with a PC being Evil because there aren't as many Evil quests...therefor, not as much exp, which means lower level char's

Ok, let me rephrase that. Rebelous teens like to identify themselves with evil characters, because they see them as rebels against autority.

Sadly, almost all teens go throught a rebel phase.
