I'm playing the game from time to time (too much school work)and i really like it. Simple, but good.

One quick tip: if you play an archer, get the poison arrow skil ASAP. It slows down ennemies so it's easier to hit and run. It really helped me to get through the ordes of orcs.

The only thing I can remember is that I had no trouble at all finding it. Run around the starting position with ALT active, it really should there somewhere.

Is it worth getting for someone who hates Diablo(2) but liked Dungeon Siege..?
I'm asking because I am sick and tired of waiting for Icewind DaleII to come out here.

Most definitely. I don't know why everyone keeps comparing it to Diablo. It's nothing like Diablo (especially 2). Yeah, it has a two thirds, third person perspective and is real time. And there are skills. But that's so generic, that you may as well say Fallout is like Diablo. I'd liken Divine Divinity to a hi-res, single character, more story driven Darklands.

1. Some boss monsters or high level monsters drop magical items randomly. Use the quick save option to save your game just before killing him/her/it/whatever. Repeat until you get the type of item you like. Generally items with ID level 3 to 5 is a not easy to get but most of them comes with charm slots.

2. Resurrect bug* - I think you might have read about this exploit before. The same exploit can be used on most of the boss monsters to gain more magical items.

3. Weapons with frost attack kick ass! I got a super blade (Singing Blade) with frost damage, mana drain and health drain altogether and this weapon really kick ass!

4. Singing Blade - This weapon which is dropped by Pedro upon death does have random stats and enchantments. Be remeber to quicksave before killing Pedro. This may take many attempts but Frost enchantment is really good to have.

Resurrect bug exploit:

1. Kill high level monster/boss.

2. Cast resurrect and revive him/her/it.

3. Ran away from him (get out of sight) and wait for several minutes. When you return, he will turn hostile and you can kill him *again* for the XPs and goodies.

1. "Deadly Gift" (wery great) That skill create traps for the enemies like. Spider Mines, Trail bombs and Death Scorpions!

2. Picpocket wery cool you get tons of things early on the game that you can sell.

2. "Ranger Sight" Grants you the keen eyes of a ranger to help you se your enemies from afar.

3. "Lock Pic" almost all things are locked in this game so this is useful.

4. "Repair" Allows yo to repair all your weapons and armor.

TIPS:

And a WERY and a MUST tips for all is this: Go to the abdoned house north of the Cursed Abby you find the key to the door by pushing "alt key" when you walk around it and inside there is a bed yea a DAMN bed and you can take it with you only put it in to your invetory then you can rest where you want by cliking on it in your invetory hehe!

You are welcome Paladin2000 !!
And one more thing here if you are a warrior then it is a great sword in the wood leftside of the Dwarfen willage in a pile of rocks it is called "Sword Of Chaos" one of the best swords in the game i have used it to the end of the game now two times and i have not find any better yet! It is a sword later after the Cunsil Of Seven and in the that other world there is great one to it is "Sword Of The Gods" but i think it is not that good as Sword Of chaos"
