Cheat Methods:
In the Ultima 9 directory there is a file called default.kmp. When opened in a standard wordpad or other text editor you will find the following text line: [Cheat Commands] Simply add the following lines underneath it: alt+shift+i = toggle_avatar_invulnerable alt+shift+l = toggle_avatar_fly just keep in mind that flying can make the quest unsolvable, most program triggers are on the ground...

Yack,
I have just re-installed U9 as well. I now have a PC that can RUN it! (I now have a 2.4Ghz P4 with 512MB Ram and a Geforce4 4600) and it FINALLY doesn't feel like a slideshow! I'll loot all those files and play it through, I just WISH I could install Ultima 7 (and the addons) on WinXP. I may just make my old PC a 'DOS box' and play it through! I miss that Game alot!!! It was SO fun!!! |

Good for you Ziroc, you are for a treat, in many ways ultima 9 was ahead of his time, and the nostalgia factor play a huge role in enjoying the game
Using the old computer as a dos box its a great idea, I have an old pentium 200mhz with DOS 6.22 for the oldies, using it on the TV set with a wireless mouse and keyboard, at the beginning was for my old favorites, but lately I am using it for some old classics I never play before, check out http://www.the-underdogs.org , she have a great site and do her best to respect the original makers rights. a few not well know games that you may like; Albion, Dark Heart of Uukrul, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, Neuromancer, Sentinel Worlds and Time Quest.
