F5? Hmm, I guess the Aussie version differs a little from the American version of the game. Mine has it set by default to F6.

The version we get up here, usually the UK version, has quicksave at F5 at default.

heat can cause those problems too. just something to keep in mind for the future. i had frequent crashes just before my old gef4 4200 128mb burnt out.
try upgrading your dx too. not for crashing reasons so much as for efficiency. 9.0c seems to be best on all gaming fronts, but esp with MW. V***V

Grrrrr!
![]() This game is definitely one of the most infuriatingly addictive I've played for awhile. I'm still suffering from this unpredictable freezing problem and the ocassional CTD or similar crash. It is intermittent enough to put up with but just so difficult to diagnose and treat. I upgraded to DirectX 9.0c a couple of nights ago and a friend has only last night given me Bloodmoon, which has caused some minor dramas of its own. So I decided to do a complete relnstallation, so someone will have to correct me if I did thingss incorrectly. I re-installed Morrowind, then Tribunal and then copied my previous save games (Morrowind/Tribunal) into the save directory. I then installed Bloodmoon and patched it to 1.6.182. Morrowind deals with savegames very strangely - my most recent games were seemingly missing in the sense that I couldn't see the most up to date one's in the /morrowind/save dir. In the end, i assumed they simply hadn't been updated title wise and just copied them accross. Upon booting up (with bloodmoon) for the first time, my latest save got a 'TribunalMain' error which worried me at first. But I simply made a new save and things are progressing well, if only for these freezing problems... So I'm still searching for some more tweaking ideas, mostly to do with editing the ini file.

CTD's are probably happening to everyone so you shouldn't worry too much about them.
Except for the occasional CTD the only "problem" (it's not really a problem) I'm encountering is some loading times between areas in the game. These loading times can be long enough so that it appears that the game have frozen when in fact it haven't.
