I'd agree that the Balmora Mage's guild seems to be the most logical spot for your mark/recall, since you have access to teleportation, its like getting all the other mage's guilds for the price of one. Its a handy spot to dump excess weight, and the easy access to a wide range of merchants makes it more user freindly for me than any of the other mage guilds.

But I sure wish there were a couple more mages guilds, especially in the north and southeast. The Sadith Mora guild being so far out in the islands is pretty inconvenient. Its well justified by the culture the designers were portraying, with the west half the island being pro-imperial and the east half anti-, but still...

I *finally* noticed that there are some 'shortcuts' available with the almsvi/divine interventions: If I need to get to Ebonheart, for instance, I recall to Balmora, teleport to vivec, and 'divine' to ebonheart.

Has anyone found similar routes to locations on the north coast?

Oru

Oruboris: the journal gets an update with Tribunal, but I believe it is also downloadable.

if the journal gets too bothersome you can delete some of the entries there in the morrowind folder.

I never had any problem in locating things in Morrowind or getting around, but maybe that's because I am able to do that in real life as well. I always find my way around even in places I have never been to, it's kinda natural to me.
Anyway, the map johnny pointed out should do the trick.

As to the daedras and their quests, those are intended to be the most difficult ones, so they don't mark places and are really vague... the rewards are usually worth the brain teasing. if you want to find everything, even the elusive shrine of Boethiah, here's a complete walkthrough. It's not the one i wanted to sand you to, but m0use.net is down, and this will do just fine. In the page, search for DAEDRIC QUESTS if you want to avoid all the spoiling of the rest.

journal is a mess, and cliff racers are annoying, I agree. At least you can remove the latter.
