Yeah, i've finished Morrowind twice before already, and i don't recall ever doing the Bal Molagmer quest either. But now i have to do it somehow. And i've done every possible other quest for Big Hellende, Sugarlips Habasi, and Angoth the jeweler, so there's nothing else left to do.

Very weird indeed.

I suppose it's not possible to do the quest with just one glove ?

Johnny, this worked for me.

player->additem common_glove_l_balmolagmer 1

"l" for left glove and "r" for right.

Enter it exactly as above.

Hope it works.

Hammerhead, are you certain?
Shouldn't it be: player->additem"common_glove_l_balmolagmer",1
with the punctuation? I never tried it without the punctuation myself, but it's never failed me before.

You were right, this code good. I now have both gloves again.

But now this...

I went back to the bookshop, cause Gentleman Jim Stacey told me to do so whenever i was ready to go on the Bal Molagmerquest, and he also told me to wear the gloves when i spoke to him next.

Only one minor problem... Jim isn't there anymore. When i ask the other guy in the room about Jim, he says "look around fool". But i can look untill hell freezes over, but Jim isn't in the room anymore.

Is this a bug, or is he just gone somewhere else that i don't know about yet ?

I've had NPCs disappearing too.

You'll have to consol him back.

placeatpc stacey 1,1,1

He could return later though, that happened to me with a guild guide. Suddenly there were 2 of them, but it had no consequences.

Okay, thanks. I'll see if i can cheat him back into the room. Makes me wonder what kind of surprises the game has left for me. I know about certain bugs, but it was never as bad as this time.

Johnny, are you currently the Master of the Theive's guild? If so, then you cannot not legitamately have him come back. He went back to the land of Hammerfell. He's retired and you missed out on the quests.

No, not yet. After killing Sjoring Hard Heart he said we would be doing great together (both the thieves guild and fighters guild), and that he had one more job for me.

So when i clicked "jobs" he told me to come back to him once i was a mastermind in the thieves guild. So that means i still have work to do, don't i ?

Indeed that should be the case. I cannot explain his disappearance then. Best of luck to you then.
