Guess what everyone? I figured out colors!

Here's the scoop: < font color=blue > your text < /font > without the spaces in the <>'s. Bold and italics work the UBB way. To combine, put the bold/italic UBB code inside the color. So, for example, < font color=blue > [ b ] your text [ /b ] < /font > without the spaces, of course.

I haven't done much experimenting with it, so I don't know all the colors and such, but now we should have an easier time differenciating between characters, for those of us playing two characters.

Thank goodness for the search function...

I gotta say, whoever made that site that I posted there has messed alot of people up. Not only is that site's version of the color code wrong but there are about 20 other sites with the same codes all the way through...

Actually, I think the colors are done in HTML, but I'm not sure.

Alasdair, I'll be sending you some info on my characters. Their classes are little unique, but I'll let you make the final decision.

ooc: Okay everyone, this a little introduction to my characters. There are many ways to take it from here, so I hope no one feels that I've started a story or something.

ic:The tavern was isolated from the rest of society, far from the reaches of civilization. Founded by a now-retired adventurer, the tavern/inn had grown in popularity, and it was a well-known place to many in the adventure business. Only rarely was the tavern attacked, as beasts far and wide learned to steer clear of the place, for adventurers do not like to have their rest interrupted. As many fell creatures had found out, bothering adventurers was a good way of committing suicide.

Two figures entered the the common area. They both wore long cloaks with the hoods up, one colored a dark blue, the other dark green. The innkeeper was familiar with these two figures; they were frequent guests of the tavern and the innkeeper had known them for many years. "Ah, Deathshadow and Windstar! What brings you to this neck of the woods?"

The figure in the blue cloak smiled. "Iliana and I are just passing through," he said. "But we'd like to sleep in a nice bed for a night. Even though we both love to travel, a warm bed and a solid roof over our heads does have its appeal."

The figure in the green cloaked laughed softly, a very pleasing sound. She pulled back the hood of her cloak, revealing a beautiful Elven face. Her bright green eyes sparkled in amusement as she looked lovingly at the figure in the blue. "Yes, a soft mattress would be nice," she said. "The ground has a firmness that can be irritating after a while. I think a nice meal would be nice, as well. What do you think, my love?"

"Right you are, dearest Windstar. A nice meal would be most appreciated."

"I remember sleeping on the ground many days in a row, back in my adventuring days. It's just as you said, Windstar. It does get irritating after about the third day." The innkeeper was very careful not to use Windstar's true name. Even though he had been friends with the pair for many years, they had made it clear that only Deathshadow could use Windstar's true name. It was like a sign of the bond they shared. "They would probably kill me if I said it," he thought. "Deathshadow is especially protective. And I would not want to face those two, not even in my adventuring prime." Aloud, he continued, "Why don't you two have a seat? I'll bring out the chef's special right away."

The innkeeper watched the pair walk to a table and sit down. Many of the patrons were familiar with the couple, and left them alone. One look at the form of Deathshadow said that, and one couldn't see much of his form underneath that cloak. He was something like an assassin, and his deadly gracefulness warned that he was not above killing if the need arose. And he almost always had the hood of his cloak pulled up, even in the brightest of places. The innkeeper had seen him once with his hood pulled back, and had not expected what he saw.

Deathshadow appeared to be tall human, albeit a very slender one. However, he was Half-Elven, and he had many of the Elven characteristics. He was fast and agile, he had keen senses; in almost every way, he was very Elf-like. He did have brown eyes, however, a rare feature in Elves. And his hair was strange too; white with black tips.

Windstar, on the other hand, was almost the opposite in appearence. She was also Half-Elven, but she was very Elf-like in appearance. If the innkeeper did not know better, he would've thought that she was an Elf. She was nearly as tall as Deathshadow however, a bit too tall to be an Elf maiden. But her hair was strange too; it started off dark brown then changed to bronze then back to dark brown at tips. But the two made a perfect pair and were bonded in marriage many years ago at a young age, even for their race.

ooc: Feel free to bring your characters into the tavern! I left out the description, so feel free to add some detail to the place. I thought it would be an ideal place to begin an adventure.

A note on my color choices: I'll be using blue for Deathshadow (unless it's too hard to read, then I'll change it), light green for Windstar, and white for other narrative. Bold is for speech aloud and italics for thoughts. But that's just my style.
