Madras was still with me when the Trynnie turned hostile, and then he immediately left the group. I too am puzzled about this. I took an earlier save in Upper Trynton, roamed around a bit and nothing happenned. Every Trynnie was friendly with me. Then I went down to Trynton again and the same two Trynnies immediately turned neutral. They only turn hostile if I speak to them too.

It once happened to me that an umpani accidently hit another umpani - critical hit - and the all became hostile. It was in an solo attempt, and my character didn't anything in the combat (just stayed away from the nasties). So there must be some bug in the calculation.

When you got the message when you entered Trynton, its surely because one of them died in the meantime, and the kill was credited to you.

It must be some weird bug that occur very rarely. In my game during combat, if I accidentally hit ( even killing them ) friendly people they didn't go hostile with me.

But then they should turn immediately hostile not only when I speak to them. And I don't get any money either which could support a death.

Dplax, I'm wondering what version of the game you have, and if you have it patched with something other than the AP fix. I've got the original v1.0 with the AP patch only, and in MANY games, that has never happened to me in Trynton or anywhere else. Only a hostile action on my part changed friendlies into enemies.

In that case, it could well be that a fix broke something else, causing some strange random error in rare moments. Maybe you hit a Trynnie during a fight and the bug caused the rest to go neutral. Can't see any other reason for it, since you never deliberately attacked anyone in Trynton.

Well I went back to an older save and went down and they were friendly so it must have been a problem with the save or I might not have noticed attacking a trynnie.
