CT: you can't train Mace as a Rogue. Other reasons to be Ninja instead:
--You can train Shield as a Bishop!!!
--You get some Crit potential
--Dualling Nunchake is FUN

CT - that's a great tip about going to expert mode for training melee. i never would have thought of it.

regarding stealth training and dual-classing to build it, i would say that, in spite of all the great thoughts above and the widespread support of people posting in this thread, only about half of the regulars here do it. and i've never seen widespread evidence of it at other boards i lurk at.

that's not to say it's good or bad. only to make the point that it's not strictly necessary to play the game, win the game, or even to beat it comfortably. it's one strategy that has its plusses and minuses.

regarding the ninja-ranger dual, check out atlus 7's notes on this build, as he makes some great observations on the benefits and some clever tips on making it work well (eg dual mace with both classes, use bow as a ninja so as not to waste throw training, etc.)

On a side note...I just wanted to thank everyone here for always being so helpful, you people are the greatest! thank you so much
That is exactly why some people suggested sleeping while the skills train up on continous combat mode.

Or read a book, perhaps a sword and sorcery type.
