Well I guess I have then stronger nerves then the most soft contingent on these boards. I don't go around the corner and shoot myself because someone just told me the ending of the game. Bummer I guess. And I knew also about the spoilers you mentioned Melusine and it didn't bother me a bit. On the contrary - it intriqued me! I wanted to find out HOW the truth about Imoen comes out and how it will be implemented. I wanted to see HOW Yoshi will take such a twist on the road, and I sure as heck was looking forward to that fight with ole Irenicus. Heck, how many times you get to visit the hell, beating someone and coming out of there anyway, eh?

But that's just personal thing I think. Guess I am then "stronger" in that sense then the rest.

Of course, it doesn't mean that I am claiming that all should go around and spoil. Nah. If some rules tell to use the tags, then by all means use them people and use them well. Rules tell so and I have nothing against it. What I mean is that few spoilers here and there or everywhere don't blow my top off..

Yeah, well, I"m glad you feel so good about yourself, but I agree with Jan: if I plunk down my hard-earned for a game that's supposed to have some twists and turns and surprises in it, and everybody blows out the surprises in the g-d SUBJECT LINES for the forum, or w/o putting up spoiler warnings so I can skip them,I sure as heck ain't gonna be hanging out on this forum very long. What's the point of owning a game if you're not going to get your money's worth?

...did i get you right, Whailor, you actually appreciate beeing told the endings and surprises of the game ?! Well, I for myself like the game BECAUSE of all these things - and i'm quiet sure i wouldn't have enjoyed playing if someone had told me in beforehand what's going to happend...

I do agree with the basic premise about no revealing ToB storyline spoilers.

However, I have a philosophical questions that perhaps the moderators can answer. Why are IWD and its 2 expansions (HoW and ToLm) merged into a single forum, while SoA and ToB have separate forums? My guess is that the reason is related to volum of posts.

People who accidentally post a spoiler should be told of their error - POLITELY. You are less likely to change human behavior if you scream and rant at someone - didn't real life teach you that yet?

Lordgabriel, in Latin , the plural of Forum is "fora." but the word has been in English so long that the usage 'forums' is acceptable, if not totally so to purists. Actually Melusine, I can think of one time that a 'spoiler' was good for me. I had stopped playing TOB (I mean, what's my motivation? The Bhaalspawn are trying to kill me, ho, hum, so has practically everything else in the game from that ratty little guy in Candlekeep to tthe big JI himself) But then I learned that SPOILER

You can turn Viconia to the good in TOB, and I at once started the game from day 1, so that I could do that. But I definitely agree that they should be flagged. Everybody just shouldn't get so mad when a newbie makes an error.
