Yah, i really like Oozites as punching bags. By the time i'm facing them, almost nothing natural can hit me, so i switch to plain weapons and bang away to crank up my combat.

allthought the adamantine slimes are GREAT for raising your close combat/weapon stats.
i was trying to build up sword for my ninja. gave her two average swords, rest of the party on defend, and let her whack away doing quarter damage. periodically my other chars would refresh superman on my ninja or haste in one battle with 2 slimes her sword skill went from 20 to 46

adamatium slimes are really mean and it takes a long time to kill them unless you have a ninja or samurai who is trained on critical hits.
I didn't have a problem with the souleater, gazers are much harder. I once played a 3 men party and used Oozites in the swamp to level up about 3 or 4 times. Savant slashers and minions are perfect, too. Very easy to kill with an amount of exp. What I hate is the group of berserkers and drones which face you all the time in every area. |

Magma Scorchers (was it the magma? i mean the level 40 ones).
Only a bit fire breath (until they nearly run out of stamina, and move close), but worth ~2.7 MExp. And Djinni of the Blade. They only melee (and can hit hard), but are also worth very much XP. And the lower level three monsters in AP (those that don't cast quicksand). Don't give many XP, but often a great stack of items. I think i got more good arrows and bolts off them than from Ferro. |

My favorite, because of the difficulty, has to be Gregor. He's pretty damned daunting for young parties when you get to him.

My fave is the Hogar. Nothing like a big, dumb, ugly monster to beat up
Nastiest monster--the Souldrinker. Killed half my level 25 party and turncoated the other half. I had to walk away and wait for turncoat to wear off. |
