I really enjoy fighting Rapax Berserkers and Veterens...they melee so you don't have to worry about closing on them. They are easy kills and still get you some decent xp

My toughest kill has to be the Don, cuz I never wait till the second time I see him. Last time, I misplaced my elemental and couldn't find another one, so he was a really really tough kill @level 9 or so.

As for non-boss mobs, I have come to hate those damn buccaneer ghosts because I kill them so many times. *grin* I also really dislike those nightmares in the swamp at a pretty early level.

My favorite monster? hmmm...can't decide.

My hated monster? must be my love child. I mean she is surrounded with rapax samurai and rapax templar. plus the prince is tough as well.

What I hate ? all monster in the underwater lvl that leads to Bajin, like Psi sharks and the unicorns in the swamp AND !!juggernauts!!

What was the hardest ? Trydra lvl 35 in AP and the prismic gazers are also very mean.

What I love ? I really liked Oozites, they give a lot of XP and are easy to kill and also the oak monsters in AP, they are very simple and drop a lot of nice stuff

i LOVE the savant beserkers and slashers!

easy to avoid most their hits, only come in groups of 2 or 3 making them managable, yet offer a rediculous amount of experience.

i also like the oozite golems in the swamp. very succeptable to fire, and offer bags of exp.

also of note are the blistering scorchers. magic screen + element shield renders them pretty innefectual... plus they soon run out of stamina AND are quite vulnerable to water... blast em with paralyse or freeze all.

Soulreaper at AP. It's a unique, I just regreat you cannot face a hord of them. That would be a hell of a fight.

I like the Metallic Slimes that start showing up in LM when you get past L7 or so. They have enough HP to make them good punching bags, and if you got enough AC they don't hit you much. They take something like 1/2 or less damage, too, so they last even longer. If you need a stamina break, you can back off far enough that their shots miss, and defend to rest a few rounds. Good for Stealth, Shield, and Reflextion training, too. And they drop neat toys: I've gotten Lockets(amulet?) of Reflection (Eye-4-Eye), Katanas, Long Bows,
War Scepters, Quilt tops and bottoms, and for my happy Bard, Stamina Amulets.

i found some kickass slimes in the caves of bayjun...

adamanitine slimes.
370+ hp, not to hard to hit but WOW... damage resistant AS!!!
all my weapons were only doing a quarter damage!
even fang was only doing 8 or 9hp damage, and the doomspear was doing 7!

took ages to take em down. great for upping close combat stats.
whack away and heal them up!

When facing those slimes, it's good to have boiling blood and other fire spells, otherwise it will take a long time to kill it.

My favourite monster is also the soul-eater. It's by far the most challenging monster for me. I always have at least half of my party members die from this fight.

When I play magic parties (like now), I like big groups of monsters, for example alot of flying bugs. It's nice to be able to cast a few fireballs/iceballs/whipping rocks/noxious fumes/etc... and kill them all within 2 rounds, and then get 20.000+ exp. That's easy exp points at low levels.

and the oozites are good too @ 198,000 each.
