I know you can do that with the Ascension-only patch, because I waited until I was ready for the Peak to put it in.

Since there haven't been any complaints about the later patches, I'd guess you can apply the patch at any time and everything will be okay.

The only problem noted here is that with the later patches, you have to be sure that it overwrites all the necessary files. So be sure to read any patch directions (usually a readme file) before putting it in.

I just play with the latest patch because thats how the developers intend it to be played.

They didn't "fix" the pick pocketing just to piss everybody off, they did it because it wasn't supposed to be that easy. If you don't care, why not just use a trainer?

Ever play Dark Age of Camelot jfunk? You would be amazed at the differences between what is "intended to be" today and when it first came out.

Something I learned a few years ago is everyone is entitled to play the game any way they wish. They paid for it same as you. That is why there are trainers available for those who "don't have the time" to develop characters. That is why there are websites with maps and cheats for those who "don't have the time" to play it the way "it was intended to be."

Curiosity is what spurred this thread. Imagine how it would have been before the patch. There you are having a great time pickpocketing. Then a patch is introduced and wham you can no longer get away with what you were previously. Now I ask you, wouldn't you have been just a tiny bit upset?

Dude, I never said people shouldn't play however they want, I just said that -I- play it that way because thats how the developers wanted it.

My other question still stands though, why not just use a trainer?

Trainer are juste pure direct way of cheating. Using the game itself to build up your character is in some sens not cheating because you use the program with its "features". If you considere Easter-Eggs or other in game possibilities cheating you are free not to use them. I personnaly don't used editors or rtainer but may use the in game possibilties to build up my team.

As for saying that the PP was indent to be like in the last patch is wrong. I don't know if Sir Tech made such a HUGE bug. They just didn't ballance it as they wanted. The last patch is not ballanced as well. Resulting in a total destruction of the skill.
