I gave the pickled trynnie to ferro and he gave me the armoury key. Some nice items there, although I couldn't get the brilliance helm to move from my inventory onto any character's head. Grumble. Ended up having to sell it to Ferro and buy it back, but I had some gold to spare for it.

I believe the Rapax camp will only appear if the Rapax are hostile to you (someone else may be able to confirm this). I wandered into the area early in the game and it is empty except for a friendly little pup named Rex (who actually saved me from certain Picus death). I was unable to kill the *ahem* lady withour her summoning her spawn so the camp was there when I went back much later in the game.

thanks guys, and thanks to Sir-Tech for the best RPG I've played in years.

I believe most of them are random. There was a web site posted that listed all the items and where you could find them. I believe it is in one of the two sticky topics. Good hunting.

That reminds me... did you notice the name of the *ahem* lady that is with the Prince in the endgame? A friend of mine pointed it out to me, I hadn't realized. Some kids....

I suspect Thumper's right about needing the Rapax to be hostile in order for the camp to appear (at least that would explain why it hasn't appeared in one of my adventures).

On the items, I have a pretty terrible memory for where I pick things up, but I do know that Bela sells the Cloak of Many Colors (and I make a point of buying one for each party member as early as possible).

I got the frontier phaser once in the chest in the Bayjin hut, but reverted in order to get the light sword. I've also gotten one from a buccaneer ghost in an effort to get the light sword.

(spoiler -- Rapax Away Camp)

Concerning the Rapax Away Camp -- I think it will only be there once you have taken personal possession of at least 2 parts of the "trinity". Just carrying the Destinae Dominus won't be enough to cause the game engine to plant the away camp. You need also to have either the Astral Dominae or Chaos Moliri (or both).

That is why some people don't see the camp until way late in the game, and others see it midgame.

You definitely don't have to have the Rapax hostile to you for the Away Camp to appear. I visited Wilderness Clearing before going to Rapax Rift, and it was quite devoid of anything much. Then much later I spoke to Ferro in the Rapax Castle and he mentioned the king wanted to see me for interrogation of captives at the camp. I then aligned with the Templars, and later went to the clearing and instead found the away camp. All the trees had been chopped down, and poor Rex had vanished too! (I don't think that was him roasting above the fire, but you can never tell)

I had the Chaos Moliri and the Astral Dominae on me when I went to the clearing. Still hadn't found Marten by that stage.

Maenad's Lance is an imported item. Fairly sure the garland of Roses is also an import from Wiz7.
Muramasa Blade is a random item in a chest in upper rapax castle.
Frontier Phaser is a random drop off Bucc. ghosts in Shallows. Random item in the Light sword/shield chest in bayjin.
Ring of Star's i think was a pickpocket'd item off Shaman Das or Chief Gari in Trynton.
Cloak of Many Colours is purchased off Bela in mountains wilderness by Ascen. peak zoneline.

You dont have to be hostile to the Rapax.
You must have atleast 2 of the "Trinity's" on you before the away camp will show up. I havent come across this myself but its also be mentioned in previous posts that having all 3 "trinity's" will also not have the camp show up. If this does happen just place 1 of the "trinity's" in a chest while you do the away camp.
